1. Soft Launching AI Scribe!
We are excited to announce that CareStack’s own AI Scribe, natively integrated into clinical workflows, is now live in Test accounts as part of a soft launch!
Our AI Scribe uses SOAP and H&P templates to transcribe your patient interactions into structured clinical notes automatically.
This is in a trial phase and we encourage you to contact your CareStack POC for a Demo, try out AI scribe and register your interest and feedback.
2. New Course Management powered by CS Learn
CS Learn Course Management gives your whole team on-demand access to CareStack training - staff learn at their own pace, in their own time, without pulling anyone away from the chair.
Choose from pre-built CareStack courses or build your own; add modules from the CS Learn video library, assign by individual or user profile and track completion percentage for every assignee so you know where your team stands.
Individual users can also self-enrol into courses to refresh their knowledge and understanding.
1. Assign Clinician-Specific Durations for Production Types
a. Now set clinician-specific appointment durations within a production type, when different clinicians require different durations for the same production type.
This ensures accurate appointment timings for patients booking through the Online Appointment Portal and the Diary.
Add clinician-specific durations from Practice Settings → Diary → Production Type and simply click View Clinician Level Durations next to the Default Duration.
2. New Complex Care Pathway (CCP) features
a. CCP plans now show one of five statuses: Pending Signup, In-Progress, Completed, Suspended, and Incomplete, visible on both the Claim form and the Chart.
b. The declaration/claim submission button now dynamically adapts based on CCP status:
- Pending Sign Up → ‘Submit Signup’ button only.
- In-Progress → ‘View Declaration’ with options to Suspend or Mark as Incomplete.
- Completed / Incomplete → ‘View Declaration’ button only.
- Suspended → ‘View Declaration’ with Mark as Incomplete option.
c. When a CCP status transitions to In-Progress, Completed or Incomplete fees are recalculated as per NHS rules.
When a CCP plan is Completed, the system automatically recalculates fees for all other open, unsubmitted NHS treatment plans for the patient based on NHS logic regarding Treatment Plans concurrent with CCP.
When the plan status is In-Progress, the system will scan all other open (unsubmitted) NHS plans of the patient and recalculate fees as per the NHS fee logic regarding Treatment Plans concurrent with CCP.
CCP plans in Suspended status will be automatically transitioned to Incomplete after 3 calendar months, with fees recalculated as per NHS rules.
d. Only Band 1 and Band 2 codes are billable within a CCP. When charging out a Band 3 or denture modification code, a warning is displayed, allowing you to move the treatment to a new NHS treatment plan with auto-calculated fees.
e. When adding Band 1 or Band 2 codes to a non-CCP plan while the patient has an active CCP (In-Progress or Suspended), the system prompts the user to move the codes into the active CCP plan and submit the next interim claim, ensuring NHS compliance.
f. The system prevents marking a treatment plan as CCP if the patient already has an In-Progress CCP plan.
Marking as CCP remains enabled when the existing CCP status is Completed, Incomplete, or Pending Signup.
g. Users can now delete/unmark a plan as type ‘CCP’ by clicking on the ‘x’ icon in the Treatment Plan banner.
This is possible as long as no claims have been raised (CCP status is still Pending Sign Up).
Deleting reverses the patient charge from the Ledger and recalculates plan fees.
You cannot delete a CCP treatment plan once an NHS claim has been accepted.
3. New Quick Links and System Components in Office Wizard
a. Easily add Patient Conditions, Allergies, and Medications quick links into your Templates to automatically pull profile data into referrals, documentation, and consent forms.
b. Patient Height and Weight are now available as both System Components and Quick Links.
When a patient submits these values via forms, they automatically syncs to the Patient Measurements section in the Prescriptions, eliminating manual data entry so clinicians can instantly calculate BMI and verify medication dosages.
4. Auto-Populate Care Notes with Quick Links
a. Stop typing the same details over and over. Care Note templates now support Quick Links that auto-populate information already available in the system when a note is created from the template.
Insert additional quick links directly in a note using ’#’, even if they are not part of the saved template.
b. Add Quick Links to a template in Practice Settings → Clinical → Care Note → Templates.
5. Find the Right Treatment Codes Faster with Descriptions
a. Code dropdowns in Operational Reports and Opportunity Miner now display the treatment description alongside the code, consistent with how codes are shown in the Treatment Plan Board.
No more guessing or looking up treatment codes elsewhere in the system. With descriptions visible directly in the filter dropdown, you can quickly identify and select the correct code, reducing errors and keeping your workflow uninterrupted.
Note: Payroll and Practice Analytics code dropdowns are not included in this release and will be updated separately.
6. Broken Recalls Now Included
Patients with a ‘Broken’ recall status are now included in automated recall campaigns, closing the gap left by cancelled appointments that never re-entered the reminder loop.
Voice medium has been removed throughout the platform as there are no voice integrations.
Email usage analytics is removed from Communication Usage Analytics since emails are free.
