1. Introducing Patient Merge
a. The all-new Patient Merge feature helps identify duplicate patients by matching first name, last name, and date of birth, and merge data from the duplicate profile to the original profile.
- Users with the sufficient permissions can either mark a profile as duplicate, inactivating the source profile, or merge patients by transferring selected data to the active destination profile.
- Merge actions are irreversible and tracked in the Audit Trail.
- Merge cannot be performed if the source patient has future appointments, unpaid codes, unapplied credits, active claims, unclaimed NHS plans or payment plans, is responsible for other patients, or has an active membership plan.
- Depending on the data type, information may be transferred, copied, or not transferred during the merge process.
Note: To enable this feature for your practice, a signed End User License Agreement (EULA) is required. Users can contact support.uk@carestack.com from June 1st, 2026, to request access.
2. Online Appointments Revamped
New Configurations in PMS
a. Practices can now classify Appointment Reasons into Appointment Categories and configure them for NHS or Private payors.
b. Configure the portal to Show the Appointment Reason Description.
Online Booking Portal Updates
a. The online booking portal now explicitly asks patients if they are a new or existing user, directing them to the right flow, with existing patients prompted to log in first.
b. Scroll infinitely to see and select a time slot across days. If no slots are available for a selected date or period, a clear ‘no slots available’ message is shown.
Patients can send an appointment message or contact the practice, with relevant contact details displayed based on account or location settings.
1. NHS Status Selection No Longer Defaults Automatically
a. Practices must now explicitly choose an option from the NHS Status dropdown.
- The ‘Patient has an NHS number’ option is no longer selected by default for NHS patients, and the NHS number field becomes mandatory only when this option is selected.
- For existing patients where the option was previously auto-selected but no NHS number was entered, the field will be set to blank.
2. View 6 Months of Communication Usage & Costs
Users can now view Communication Usage Analytics for the past six months with a dropdown to check specific usage and costs for each billing cycle.
3. Introducing the Daily Minimum Guarantee in Payroll
a. Payroll now supports configuring a Daily Minimum Guarantee for clinicians with daily base pay contracts during profile setup.
- Payouts are calculated by comparing net applied earnings (including payments, additions, and deductions) with the guaranteed amount based on the daily minimum and number of working days.
- Working days are derived from distinct days with checkout activity and can be edited if needed.
- The system pays the clinician the higher of the actual earnings or the calculated minimum guarantee.
b. Payroll profiles support clinician-tagged receipts and payments, enabling payouts to be calculated based on collections associated with a specific clinician.
4. Appointment Analysis Report Enhancements
a. New metrics have been added to the Appointment Analysis Report to analyse clinician utilisation and net production:
- Extra Hours Worked (sum of appointment hours outside scheduled time),
- Unutilised Hours (clinically available hours minus utilised hours),
- Utilisation Rate (percentage of available hours utilised).
- Net production,
- Net production per hour, and
- Net production per appointment
Note: Use the columns filter to show or hide Gross and Net Production metrics based on your preference. Breaks remain excluded from working hours by default.
5. Upload Images Directly to Treatment Plan Agreements
The Treatment Plan Agreement now supports uploading images directly from the system, eliminating the previous URL-only upload limitation.
6. Perio Charting Now Supports Two-Digit Values for MGJ
Perio Charting now supports two-digit values for the mucogingival junction (MGJ) field to accommodate additional clinical scenarios. Hold Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) to enter double digits.
7. NHS Centre Enhancements for Claims Tracking and UDA Visibility
a. A new UDAs Utilisation summary card has been introduced to display the percentage of utilised UDAs based on successful claims.
b. Hide or display the UDA Summary section using the new Hide/Show UDA Summary toggle for improved grid visibility while reviewing claims.
c. Filter and segregate claims using the Tx Plan Type filter.
8. Opportunity Miner is Now Real-Time
- Opportunity Miner now uses real-time data, so your lists always reflect the latest information. Earlier, the lists used data as of the previous day.
The Membership Plan column, previously missing from the treatment plan printout, has now been restored.
