A Production Type identifies the type of appointment or service provided during a specific time period. Displaying it in the diary helps staff book the appropriate appointment type for each clinician based on their speciality and availability.
For example, Hygiene Production can be set as a Production Type and assigned to a Dental Hygienist. When configuring the diary, the surgery is designated with this Production Type, and any appointment booked in that time slot will automatically default to 'Hygiene Production'.
