Practices can customise Diary blocks and Diary views through practice settings based on their preferences. This setup will impact how the Diary slots will appear when the user navigates through different views in the Diary. Configure General Settings
To configure Diary settings, perform the steps below.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Diary > Diary Settings.
- Click Edit on the top right of General Settings.
Under General Settings, you can configure the following settings:
- Default Slot Duration (in mins): Set the default slot duration as 5, 10, or 15 minutes.
- Enable Cancelling Reason: A practice or a Clinician can enable or disable the ability to provide a cancelling reason.
- When booking appointments, use: Whether to use Duration of selected slots or the Duration set for the production type.
- When blocking appointment slots, show: Whether to display Block notes First or Clinician & Duration first.
- Click Save.
Customise Diary Views
Perform the steps below to customise Diary views.
- Click Edit on the Customisation of Diary Views section.
Note: Under Appointment Block Colour Settings, you can choose Payor, All Clinicians, Primary Clinician, Production Type, Appointment Status, or Appointment Status Group. The appointment tile will reflect the selected colour setting for quicker patient identification. |
Configure the following settings:
- Appointment Slot Colour: Choose the Slot Colour from the Appointment Slot Colour dropdown.
- Appointment Left Margin Colour: Choose the Left Margin Colour from the Appointment Left Margin Colour dropdown.

Appointment Border Colour: Choose the Diary Block Border Colour from the Appointment Border Colour dropdown.
- For the above settings, users can choose Payor, All Clinicians, Primary Clinician, Production Type, Appointment Status, or Appointment Status Group. The appointment tile will display the selected colour to facilitate quicker patient identification.
To customise the appointment card:
- Drag and drop elements from the Diary Block Elements section to the Diary Block Preview section on the right.
- You can reorder elements in the card by dragging and dropping them within the preview block.

Note: Based on your preference, you can choose to display the Patient Information, Other Information and Flags on the appointment card.

- The configured patient name layout will be displayed on the Diary as shown below.
- The configured patient name layout will also be displayed on the Diary printout as shown below.
| Note: The Diary Block Elements that are added to the preview of the appointment slot have a Delete icon while the element that should be added has a Drag icon. The added element can be removed if not needed and re-added by dragging it back as required. |
- Once you are done, click Save.
