Mark a Patient or Account as Inactive
To mark a Patient as Inactive, perform the steps below.
Select the patient using the Global Search Bar.
On the Patient Overview,

Click the Pencil icon.
- Enable the toggle for Mark Pat. (Patient) as Inactive.
You will see a pop-up menu appear asking you to confirm your selection.
- Click Proceed and the patient will be marked as Inactive.
Note: A patient’s status cannot be set to Inactive if they are a Responsible Party, have outstanding balances, active claims or payment plans, or any future appointments. |
- A toast notification will appear on the top-right stating, 'Record saved successfully'.
To mark an Account as Inactive, perform the steps below.
On the Patient Overview,
- Click the Pencil icon.
- Enable the toggle for Mark Acc. (Account) as Inactive.
You will see a pop-up menu appear asking you to confirm your selection.
- Click Proceed and the patient will be marked as Inactive.
- A toast notification will appear on the top-right stating, 'Record saved successfully'.
Touchpoints to View Inactive Status
To facilitate informed decision-making during Scheduling, Communication, Clinical Care, and RCM operations, users can view the inactive status of a patient in the following key areas:
Global Search Bar
Patient Overview
You will find Inactive label in the Top Card, Account Summary & Family (if the account members are also inactive) sections.
Patient Top Card
- You will find Inactive label in the Top Card across Patient Overview, Patient Snapshot, Billing and more.
- Click Linked Account Members on the Patient Top Card to view inactive family and other account members.
Patient Snapshot
- In the Patient Snapshot, an Inactive label appears, and in the Account tab, inactive members are also marked as Inactive.
