Overview
A Site is your practice's registered connection to NHS Dental Services for submitting FP17 claims. When you register for WebEDI through Compass, the NHS issues a Site ID and Password that is used to identify your practice during claim submission.
Ensure to enter these credentials accurately in CareStack to enable secure NHS claim submission.
Note: The Site ID and Password are different from a clinician's Personal ID & PIN. The Site ID and password identify the practice's NHS connection, while the clinician's PIN authorises claims submitted under an individual clinician. |
Each NHS site has a unique five-digit code issued by the NHS that identifies the practice location from which claims are submitted.
Set up NHS Sites in CareStack
To access the NHS Sites,
- Navigate to the System Menu > select NHS Centre under Billing.
- Select Sites.
On the Sites page,
Click + Add Site to add a new site.
- Enter the required details, such as
- Site ID
- Site Name
- NHS Location ID
- For the Start Sequence, enter a value that you have not used in any previous practice management system.
If you were using an existing sequence number in the previous PMS, it is recommended to add 20,000 to that value. For example, if the last used sequence is 15321, enter 35000 as the Start Sequence. Use the same value for the Batch Sequence.
- Batch Sequence - utilise the same number as Start Sequence.
- Username
- Password
- Click Save.
A toast notification will appear on the top right stating, 'Site Created Successfully'.
Let’s go through the actions one by one. Under Actions,
Click Edit on the corresponding entry.
- Make the required changes and click Save.
- You can also Change the Password.
- To discard any changes, click Cancel.
Note: The NHSBSA Compass recommends using a password with more than 8 characters, including numbers and a mix of upper- and lowercase letters. Enter the same password in the Password column. |
- A toast notification will appear on the top right stating, 'Site Updated Successfully'.
