Add a Prescription
Adding a prescription to a patient can be accomplished in two ways:
a. Via Scheduler
- Navigate to the Diary.
- Click on the Appointment tile to open the slide-out.
- Click Prescriptions at the top of the slide-out.
- Click + Paper Prescription to add a prescription.
Or,
b. Via Patient Overview
- Select the patient using the Global Patient Search Bar.
- Click the + Presc quick link.
- Click + Paper Prescription to add a prescription.

Enter the following details:
- Enter a Title for this prescription if you so choose.
- Choose a Treatment Clinician.
- Select the intended Medication.

Once the medication is selected, you will be able to enter the pertinent information (only the fields marked with a red asterisk * are mandatory).
- Dispense as written: Checkmark this option to instruct the pharmacist to dispense the medication exactly as written (no substitutes).
- Dosage Form: Choose whether this medication should be dispensed as a tablet, aerosol, ointment, etc.
- Quantity*: Enter the quantity of this medication that should be dispensed.
- Days: Enter the number of days supply that should be provided.
- Refills*: Enter the number of refills that will be available to the patient.
- Start Date: Enter the start date for when the patient should begin taking the medication.
- End Date: Enter the end date for when the patient should finish taking the medication.
- Sig*: Enter the instructions for taking the medication.
- Notes: Enter any additional notes.

Click Save or Save & Print when you are finished.
- Once saved, you will see the prescription listed in the Prescriptions section.
- When you click Save & Print, the prescription printout will appear in a new tab.
Void a Prescription
Voiding a prescription refers to the process of cancelling or invalidating a previously issued prescription for a patient. This action might be necessary for various reasons, such as if a prescription was issued in error, if the medication is no longer needed, or if there are changes in the patient's treatment plan.
- Click the Void hyperlink to void a patient's prescription.
You will see a confirmation message.
- Click Yes to void the prescription.
- A toast notification will appear on the top right stating, 'Prescription voided successfully'.
- To view all voided prescriptions, checkmark the Show Voided Prescriptions checkbox.
- A history of the voided prescriptions will appear in the Prescriptions section.
