If a practice encounters a bug in the PMS, users can record the specific step in the workflow where the issue occurs and submit it directly to the support team using the bug reporting tool. This saves time by eliminating the need to contact support and manually retrace steps to explain the problem. With the report generated by the tool, the support team can quickly access the complete bug log and identify the exact issue without delay.
Steps to capture bugs:
- Click on the Extension button in the Chrome browser.
- Click Manage extensions.
On the Extensions page:
- Click Chrome Web Store.
- Search for 'CareStack' in the search bar.
- Select the CareStack bug reporting tool.
- Click Add to Chrome.
- You will receive a notification stating 'CareStack has been added to Chrome'.
- Open the PMS in your system.
- Click on the Extensions button from your browser.
- Select the CareStack bug reporting tool.
On the CareStack bug reporting tool popup, select the suitable option to determine the issue that you are facing.
- Software Slowness: Select this option if your PMS is slow.
- Software Error / Unexpected Behavior: Select this option if there is an error or unexpected behavior with any workflow.
- How to use a Feature: Select this option if you need guidance on how to use a feature.
- Others: Select this option if the issue is none of the above.
- Select Single System or Multiple Systems, to indicate how many systems the issue was observed on.
- Enter the issue in detail in the Description field.
- Click Next.
- Click on the Access Microphone radio button to enable microphone permissions.
- Click Start New Recording.
- Select ‘Allow while visiting the site’ to provide microphone access.
- Select the tab in which CareStack is open.
- Click Share.
You can see that the recording is in progress.
- Recreate the part of the workflow in which the issue occurred.
- For example, if the Scheduler is not loading, click the Scheduler button while recording and narrate the issue.
- Click Stop in the recording box at the bottom once finished.
The recording will now be ready.
- Click Play to watch the recording.
- Scroll down and enter the Phone Number.
- Click Upload.
- Once uploaded, the support team will receive the recording and bug report and begin investigating the issue.
- Once the support team identifies the issue, they will reach out to the practice to resolve it.
