Let us see how to customise the Appointment Length in Practice Settings and apply them to procedure codes.
To begin,
Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Diary > Diary Settings.
In the Diary Settings, under General Settings.
Click Edit.
- Choose the desired options for:
- Default Slot Duration (in mins): Select your preferred time range if you would like the minutes to be in 5, 10, or 15-minute intervals.
- Enable Cancelling Reason: Select Yes or No if you would like to enable the cancelling reason.
- When booking appointments, use: Select Duration of selected slots or Duration set for the production type.
- When blocking appointment slots, show: Select Block notes first or Provider & Duration first.
- Click Save.
A toast notification on the top right will appear stating, 'Diary Settings saved successfully'.
Now let's see how to apply the above configuration to the procedure codes.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Treatments > Procedures.
In the Procedures, on the desired Service Code.
Click Edit.
In the Edit Procedure Code slide-out, you will find the Appointment Length field.
- Click on the drop-down menu to see the time intervals in minutes.
- Choose the desired time duration.
- Click Save.
The Appointment Length duration set for each Procedure Code will appear in the Treatment Plan when applied to the Patient Chart.
