Practices can utilise the templates feature to quickly craft email or text message content when conveying messages to patients for various reasons including appointments, rather than starting from the beginning. For example, the practice can quickly notify patients of a clinician's delay using a preset email or message template.

To view and manage all templates, follow the navigation path below.
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Templates.
To create a new template for an email or text, perform the steps below.
For Email Template
- Within Templates, select Email and click + Add.
In the Add Email Template pop-up.
- Enter the Template Name.
- Select the Template Type as Direct or Bulk.
- Direct Templates will be available for use across +Message and Correspondence.
- Bulk Templates will be available for use across Opportunity Miner, Recall, Reschedule Queue, and Short Call List.
- Enter the Subject.
- Fill in the Contents you want in your template.
- Click Save.
For Text Templates
- Select the Text tab, and click + Add.
- Input the Template Name.
- Select the Template Type as Direct or Bulk.
- Direct Templates will be available for use across +Message and Correspondence.
- Bulk Templates will be available for use across Opportunity Miner, Recall, Reschedule Queue, and Short Call List.
- Enter the Message.
- Click Save.
These templates can be used to send one-time messages or emails using the + Message button, click here to know more.
- Under the Email or Text tab, you will find options to Edit, Duplicate, and Delete each template.
To edit a template:
- Click the desired template, or click Edit next to it.
- On the Template modal, click Edit.
- Make the required changes.
- Click Save.
To delete a template:
- Select the required template(s).
- Click Delete.
- Click Proceed on the warning modal.
- A toast notification appears on the top right stating, 'Templates deleted successfully'.
To enable permissions,
- Navigate to the System Menu > select Practice Settings > Administration > Profiles.
- Click Manage Permissions for the intended profile.
- Select Practice Settings.

Under Template Settings, select the permissions as suited to your requirements:
- View Memo Templates or Add/Edit Memo Templates
- View Email Templates or Add/Edit Email Templates
- View Text Templates or Add/Edit Text Templates
- View Remark Templates or Add/Edit Remark Templates
- Delete Memo Templates, Delete Email Templates, Delete Text Templates, or Delete Remark Templates.
- Click Save.
- On the Confirm Action modal that appears, click Yes to proceed.
- A toast notification appears on the top right stating, 'Profile updated successfully'.
