Re-engaging patients who have not visited the practice for a while is crucial for practice growth. A Patient Re-Engagement Campaign can be automated to trigger after a defined period of inactivity, based on the time elapsed since the patient’s last appointment, to encourage re-engagement.
Let's see how to add a Patient Re-Engagement campaign in CareStack.

To begin,
Navigate to the System Menu > select Patient Engagement > Campaign.
- Click + Create Campaign.
In the Campaign Type & Details section,
- Choose Patient Re-Engagement in the Select Campaign Type.
- Under Enter Campaign Details, input the following details:
- Campaign Name
- Description
- Branding
- Location
- Trigger Based on Unscheduled Codes
| Note: In the Trigger Based on Unscheduled Codes option, select Yes if you want the campaign to be triggered by the unscheduled code, or choose No if you do not wish to. |
- Click Next to proceed.
In the Template Creation section,
- Set the medium on which the campaign needs to be run.
- Email, or Text.
Tip: Develop new templates for the campaign based on your requirements. You can choose the platform for the campaign, as well as select the appropriate campaign type and content template. |
On selecting Email as the medium.
- Create a new template with Use Blank Template. Or,
- Hover over the already available templates displayed.
- Click Use This to select the desired template; you may select one among the available.
- Add the Subject to the Email Template.
- Ensure that the Schedule to Send timeframe for the campaign is set correctly.
- Make sure the necessary details are added to the body of the email.
- You will find options such as +Add Email, or +Add Text on the top right.
- This gives you the option to add the desired medium.
- Use the Remove Medium to choose the medium from the start.
- You can Update Template or Change Template as needed.
- You can also Send Sample Campaigns.
- Click Next to proceed.
Text
On selecting Text as the medium.
- Set the Schedule to Send timeframe by which you want the campaign to get triggered.
- You will find options such as +Add Email, or +Add Text on the top right.
- This gives you the option to add the desired medium.
- Use the Remove Medium to choose the medium from the start.
- You can select a desired template from Saved Templates.
- You can add a message in the Edit Message text box.
- A Sample Preview is provided on the right-hand side.
- Click Next to proceed to the Summary.
In the Summary section,
- You will be able to see all the information that you have entered regarding the campaign.
- After you have checked all the information, make sure you click on the Save & Enable button to enable it to run.
A toast notification will appear on the top right stating, 'Campaign saved successfully'.
- The campaign created will be listed under the Patient Engagement tab, where you can also check if the campaign is active or not.
